The Hotel (“Pousada”) sits on a 5,000 square meters area down by the valley of São José ridge (Serra São José), located in the village of Vitoriano Veloso in Minas Gerais – affectionately known as Bichinho. It combines art and nature in a cozy environment, offering its guests a unique experience.

Opened in 2009, the Pousada offers 8 accomodations, consisting of both lodges and apartments, which are all placed around a beautiful garden. Each accomodation is decorated with works of art from Oficina de Agosto, a famous local artisans workshop, and includes private bathrooms, minibar, led TV, DVD player and air conditioning, in addition to wall-mounted fans. The private bathrooms are equipped with magnifying mirrors and a complete set of amenities. Hair dryers and eletric massagers can be borrowed at the reception desk.

Breakfast is included in the room rate, and served in the main house on top of a wood fired oven, and is prepared with locally sourced products and produces prepared in the Pousada, under the supervision of the owners. In the main house living room, there is a fireplace for cold nights, cable TV, sound system, a book and movie library, musical instruments, and board games.

The Pousada offers free internet and parking, and a warm mineiro-style (jeitinho mineiro) way of hosting its guests.
